The Postal Regulatory Commission is an independent agency created by the Postal Reorganization Act of 1970 (39 USC 3601-3604), as amended by the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006, Public Law 109-435. Its mission is to ensure transparency and accountability of the United States Postal Service and foster a vital and efficient universal mail system.
